These wonderful inventions are extremely popular due to the affordable price as well as the ability for people who don’t have the room for a built in hot tub or pool that they can still have the option of having a huge above ground hot tub. Most people unfortunately do not associate the dangers of having such a pool until it is too late or have experienced t
heir own nightmare. It is so easily overlooked that because you assemble the huge above ground hot tubs at home that they don’t require a cover for safety when not in use just like a built in pool would require.
However, since the rise of these deaths and severe injuries, people as well as distributors are becoming more diligent with the information and literature that they provide to the consumer before taking their new huge above ground hot tubs home to be enjoyed by their families.
Salesmen always try to sell the covers as well and most are very religious in pointing out to prospective buyers that these pools are a potential drowning hazard for children including neighbourhood children who may sneak into your yard when you are not aware of it and unable to be watching over the child.
Safety Precautions
Although a huge above ground hot tub isn’t bound necessarily by the same rules and regulations of an in ground pool they are still extremely dangerous and should be treated the exact same way you would for an installed pool.
It should be covered at all times when it is not in use and ideally; it should be within the confines of a locked fence. It is better safe than sorry because after someone loses his or her life to a silly mishap that could have easily been avoided, it’s too late.
Get a cover for your huge above ground hot tubs and never assume that because it is in your yard that other children wouldn’t try to see what it is about.
Children are inquisitive by nature and one or two are bound to come innocently strolling up to see what it is and that is when the trouble begins.
