The Wonderful Joys of an Indoor Hot Tub
by Linda Kemp
After recently moving into a larger house, we realized that we had a few rooms that just seemed a bit bare. I secretly thought that the sunroom would be perfect to put an indoor hot tub, but I was afraid that my husband would think that I was crazy.
It was about the time that we'd extended the downstairs area of the house and one evening when he was experiencing a few aches and pains I decided that the moment had come to mention an indoor Hot Tub and its indisputable benefits, pointing out that it could be just the thing for back pains and muscle relief.
Surprisingly he showed some interest and said he would give it some thought, so I let the subject drop, knowing the more eager I appeared the longer he would take to consider it
A week later, he approached me and mentioned how we needed to make some changes to the sunroom if I really did want to get an indoor hot tub. As calm as possible, I listened to the changes that needed to be made and we started to make the preparations. First, we needed better ventilation.
For the moisture to escape a couple of ceiling fans as seen in bathrooms, or something similar, would need to be fitted. There was no way it would be satisfactory otherwise.
We decided to put in two small ventilation bathroom type fans that would be as quiet as imaginable. We also agreed that we would need to put down some new flooring.
Putting an indoor hot tub in on top of carpet was definitely not a wise idea. So, we went shopping for some tiles that could withstand getting wet on a daily basis.
It was a chance to make the place where we intended to put a Hot Tub look really classy with our new addition to the household standing resplendent on the new floor tiles. On a less exciting note but very necessary, a small drain was included in our plans, so that any excess of water wouldn't create a pool on the new tiles beneath the new Hot Tub.
And so with our plans completed and fans and new carpeting in position we went to find an indoor Hot Tub that would meet with our approval and wouldn't break the bank, and after a few forays into the relevant places we made our purchase.I'm thrilled with it, but my husband is more over the moon than I am.
Fortunately we don't need to argue over who uses the indoor Hot Tub first, we fit in together comfortably, and could actually manage a foursome if the need arose. When folks come to stay we take a back seat, the Hot Tub's the attraction we can't compete…
And so, after planning the preparations and getting a new floor, we went shopping to find our ideal and affordable indoor hot tub. After a few stores and sales, we placed an order.
It would hold 4 people, which means that the two of us would fit into it perfectly. Before I knew it, I was sitting in my new indoor hot tub, watching the rain fall down right outside of the windows. While the wind blew outside, I was snuggly warm and cozy inside.
